What we are looking for:
We are seeking a Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to provide front-line management of incidents and escalation points, as well as proactive and preventative analysis.
Your day to day responsibilities:
- Responsible for resolving issues and escalating to the managed services vendor when necessary.
- Assist with prioritizing multiple simultaneous incidents while effectively communicating and escalating all known issues and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Design and improve current ITSM standards, processes, and guidelines, as well as present key findings to peers, management, and other stakeholders to maintain positive and effective relationships.
- Manage vendor relationship with managed services providers and monitor server capacity and availability.
- Collaborate with vendor for vulnerability assessment and patch management, as well as backup, restore, and DR/BCP management.
- Provide level 1 support for Microsoft Teams calling and Genesys PureCloud.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in server administration or cloud support
- Certification in AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.
- Possess good knowledge:
- Windows Operating System, Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktop, and IT networking, including IP subnetting, NAT, VPN, RIP/OSPF/BGP. Knowledge of Microsoft/Office 365 suite, cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure, backup and disaster recovery solutions like Commvault, Zerto, and Azure Site Recovery is essential.
- Any ITSM ticketing tool and remote support tool
- Possess basic knowledge of IP telephony and QoS, cybersecurity, including next-generation firewall, multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint protection/data loss prevention, web content filtering, social engineering, and web application firewall like F5/Cloudflare/Imperva.
- Diploma or Degree in a related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are necessary, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
