Cool Cars for Senior Drivers 3 Sports Cars That Rock!

You can’t help getting older, but you can always stay young at heart. So you don’t have to settle for a boring everyday ride. In the first of a four part series, here are three cool cars that can bring you plenty of fun and excitement to your golden years, starting with the quintessential sports car.
Top 3 sports cars for senior drivers
1) Porsche 718 Boxster
Driving a Porsche is something that every car nut should experience at least once in their lifetime. And while most people gravitate towards the iconic 911, the Boxster offers arguably more fun and excitement for the driving purist.
The latest model, now dubbed 718 Boxster, has been completely transformed from its predecessors, and in top-line Boxster S form, boasts of a new 2.5-litre turbocharged flat-four petrol that puts out an impressive 350bhp. This makes it good for a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 4.2 seconds, and when you put the roof down, is enough to give you a completely new hairdo!
It looks suitably sporty too, with enough show to match the go, and as you’d come to expect from a company like Porsche, the 718 Boxster offers a truly remarkable drive with a fantastic handling. Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
2) Mazda MX-5 RF
If you’re one for the inconspicuous, but still enjoy the wind in your hair + pure driving experience, the Mazda MX-5 is for you. As fun to drive as any sports car out there, the MX-5 is pared back to the basics, offering you just the essentials.
A 2.0-litre petrol engine with 160bhp packed into a lightweight package means that the MX-5 is well capable of offering you an exhilarating drive at an affordable price. And the latest version, dubbed the RF (for Retractable Fastback), features a neat folding hard-top roof that is guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go. Nice!
3) Mercedes-Benz SLC 200
For those who prefer a slightly more laid-back driving experience, the new, updated Mercedes-Benz SLC 200 is probably more up your street. Previously known as the SLK, Mercedes’ sleek looking two-seater roadster now has a new name, and a few minor updates as well.
The changes are slight, with a rejigged front end for a more aggressive appearance, but they work well enough to keep the SLC looking as stylish as ever. The interior has also been updated too, but it still offers the same premium experience that you’d expect from any Mercedes-Benz. The SLC 200 base model is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder that churns out 184bhp, and while it won’t set the road on fire, it provides a decent enough performance to suit its character. The key point of the SLC though is that it is a sleek, stylish cruiser for those who want to look good and cruise around at a relaxed pace.
