Formula One has die-hard fans. A recent survey by popular F1 fan-mag autosport.com found that over 65% of fans have been actively supporting the race for over 15 years. And, according to those in the know, the Singapore GP is one of the best, beating F1 races held Australia, Spain and Malaysia in popularity.

An avid F1 fan from Singapore’s number one car site, sgcarmart.com, reports.
Making the Singapore GP fan-friendly
Race promoter Singapore GP is offering a host of exciting experiences to get Singapore residents revved up for the 2017 Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.
- The Thursday Pit Lane Experience is back for its fifth year. Usually accessible only to Formula One Paddock Club ticket holders over the race weekend. Now 3,000 members of the public will get to walk the Formula One Pit Lane on Thursday, 14th September for an exclusive up-close view of the race cars and the pit crews in action at the team garages.
Visitors will also enjoy performances from roving artistes, try their hand at interactive activities and shop for official merchandise at the F1 Village. Each year, Singapore residents ballot for a complimentary pair of passes.
- Members of the public are invited to go on a guided walking tour of the Marina Bay Street Circuit and see what it takes to set up the home of F1 night racing. Participants will hear firsthand from key Singapore GP representatives, gain an insight into the inner workings of the Paddock, and access restricted areas such as the team garages, media centre, race control room and the winners' podium.
For the first time in 2017, the tour will also feature a part of the Temasek Suite, an exclusive hospitality suite that hosts various dignitaries and foreign Ministers of State during the race weekend. Each tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
- Back by popular demand, members of the public can experience the adrenaline rush of Formula One night racing on-board Singapore GP's Rev Up Singapore! roving truck, race around the Marina Bay Street Circuit on simulators for free and take home exclusive premiums. Catch the truck as it makes pit stops islandwide at schools, heartlands, community events and public spaces, including Queenstown Community Centre, Our Tampines Hub and Punggol Park from now till September 2017.
