Introduction of New Comprehensive Plus Plan

Budget Direct Insurance has added Comprehensive Plus to its suite of Travel Insurance plans. The new plan includes the same core covers offered under the insurer’s newly enhanced Basic and Comprehensive plans but provides higher benefit limits for travellers seeking an extra level of reassurance.

Enhanced Benefits Now Included Across All Plans

In addition to launching Comprehensive Plus, Budget Direct Insurance has introduced additional built-in benefits to every Travel Insurance plan, including Basic, Comprehensive, and the newly launched Comprehensive Plus.

The enhanced benefits include:

• Fraudulent Use of Credit Card: If a credit card is lost or stolen overseas and used without the cardholder’s authorisation, the policy provides cover for the amount the traveller is held liable for, up to selected limits.

• Pet Hotel Cover: If a traveller’s return trip is delayed, a cash benefit is provided up to selected limits for the continued boarding of their cat or dog.

Former Optional Add-Ons Now Included as Standard

Benefits that used to be optional add-ons are now included as standard across all Travel Insurance plans. This means customers will enjoy expanded protection - such as Loss or Damage of Baggage and Personal Belongings - without the need for additional add-ons or extra fees.

Expanded Plan Range for Greater Choice

With the launch of Comprehensive Plus and the enhancement of existing plans, travellers can now compare three levels of protection - Basic, Comprehensive, and Comprehensive Plus -to select the coverage that best meets their travel needs.

Updates for Existing Policyholders

Customers who have bought their travel insurance before 19 December 2025 can refer to their policy document or Budget Direct Insurance’s website for the full list of benefits under their purchased Basic or Comprehensive plan.

Upon renewal, policyholders will receive renewal offers under the respective new plans with enhanced benefits.
