Where can I find my Buddy ID?

You can retrieve your Buddy ID by logging into Policy Manager. You must have bought a policy from Budget Direct Insurance before to be assigned a Buddy ID. You can also call our Customer Care helpline at  6047 2122 for assistance.

How can my friends use my Buddy ID?

Once you retrieve your Buddy ID from Policy Manager, simply copy or share the Buddy ID Referral Link with friends. Your friends can click on your Buddy ID Referral Link to obtain a quote and purchase their Budget Direct Car, Motorcycle, Commercial Vehicle or Annual Travel insurance policy online, or provide your Buddy ID when they speak with us.

How will I know if my referral is successful?

We will notify you via the email address linked to your Buddy ID. The email will be sent to you within 30 days after the start date of the Eligible Policy bought by your friend.

If you do not receive our notification email by such date, please call our Customer Care Centre at 6047 2122 for assistance.

Where can I find my e-vouchers?

You can access your e-vouchers by log in to your Policy Manager. Under My Rewards, click on the Redemption Link to accept your e-vouchers before the Redemption Link’s expiry date shown on Policy Manager. Once you have redeemed your e-vouchers, you have up to 12 months to spend it.

What happens to my Buddy ID if my policy with Budget Direct Insurance has expired?

Your Buddy ID can only be used while you have an active Car, Motorcycle, Commercial Vehicle or Annual Travel policy with us. If your policy has expired, your Buddy ID Referral Link will no longer be valid and cannot be used for referrals.

To continue referring buddies and receiving our unlimited referral rewards, ensure that you stay insured with us (not applicable to Single Trip Travel policy).

Terms and Conditions - Bring a Buddy Programme

The terms and conditions set out below apply to the Bring a Buddy Programme offered by Budget Direct Insurance (also referred to in these terms and conditions as “Budget Direct”, “we”, “our” or “us”):

  1. Bring a Buddy Programme is a referral programme that encourages customers with an active Car, Motorcycle, Commercial Vehicle or Annual Travel insurance policy that has not expired (each an “Active Customer”) to get rewarded when they invite friends and family to purchase from Budget Direct Insurance.
  2. When Active Customer successfully refers friends and family (each a “Buddy”) to purchase a new Car, Motorcycle, Commercial Vehicle or Annual Travel insurance (“Eligible Policy”), Buddy is eligible to get up to $80 in e-vouchers (“Buddy Reward”) and Active Customer receives $20 in e-vouchers (“Referral Reward”).
  3. Bring a Buddy Programme does not apply to Single Trip Travel policyholders or Single Trip Travel policy purchases.
  4. Subject to Budget Direct’s underwriting criteria and requirements and validation of the policy details, a referral is considered successful only when:
    1. Buddy has never bought a policy from us before.
    2. Active Customer’s policy has not expired when Buddy gets a quote from us.
    3. Buddy buys an Eligible Policy for the first time by:

      1. getting a quote for the policy online via the unique Buddy ID Referral Link shared by Active Customer; or
      2. providing Active Customer’s Buddy ID to the Buddy’s attending Customer Care Executive when getting a quote for the policy over the phone or in person at our Customer Care Centre prior to purchase.
    4. The Eligible Policy is not cancelled before or within 30 days of its policy start date.
  5. Upon successful referral, Buddy and Active Customer will be eligible for their respective Buddy Reward and Referral Reward as outlined below:

  7. Bring a Buddy Programme will not apply in conjunction with Budget Direct’s partner programmes which involve an Affinity ID. Subject to the terms and conditions of prevailing promotions, Bring a Buddy Programme may apply on top of applicable promotions on our website.
  8. There is no limit to the number of Buddy referrals an Active Customer can make. For example, if Active Customer successfully makes 10 Buddy referrals, Active Customer is eligible to receive the Referral Reward 10 times, being $200 worth of e-vouchers.
  9. Upon successful referral, Active Customer and Buddy will each receive our notification email to access their rewards by clicking on the Redemption Link in Policy Manager. Our email will be sent to the respective email addresses in our records within 30 days after the start date of the Eligible Policy. Active Customer and Buddy are responsible for redeeming their e-vouchers via individual log in to their Policy Manager and this must be done before the Redemption Link’s expiry date shown on Policy Manager.
  10. We reserve the right not to issue the Redemption Link if the Eligible Policy is cancelled before or within 30 days from its policy start date.
  11. We will not re-send the notification email or re-activate any expired Redemption Links or expired e-vouchers if our notification email goes into the customer’s junk mailbox, is unread or deleted, or if any email address provided to us is incorrect or invalid.
  12. Use of the e-voucher is subject to the terms and conditions of the participating merchant(s) providing the e-voucher. We are entitled to determine the participating merchant(s) providing the e-voucher. Save that we reserve the right to substitute the e-voucher with another reward of equivalent value at any time without giving notice, the e-voucher is non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash, credit or any other item.
  13. Each participant in Bring a Buddy Programme agrees to Budget Direct’s Privacy Policy available on our website, and agree that we may collect, use, disclose and process their personal data for the purpose of verifying their eligibility and administering the rewards.
  14. We may amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice or incurring liability to any party. Our decision on all matters relating to Bring a Buddy Programme is final.
